General Camping – Terms and Conditions
Items & Things You Cannot Bring / Use
- No gazebos, wind-breakers, BBQs, open fires, or gas canisters (except a small 2.2 kg gas bottle for a purpose-built stove).
- No glass bottles or glass containers anywhere on site (they will be confiscated).
- No drones, Chinese lanterns, fireworks, or disposable vapes.
- No illegal substances.
- No towed trailers — trailers must be left at a designated (locked) trailer-parking area at the campsite entrance.
- Important safety note: do not change gas bottles or canisters inside tents.
General Behaviour & Entry Conditions
- Alcohol is not allowed onto the main festival site (festival-ground proper), and bags will be searched at entry.
- For campsite holders (with a valid camping ticket), limited alcohol is permitted, within a set allowance: per person for the whole weekend — 12 cans of beer/lager/cider or 75 cl of spirits (in plastic container) or a 2.25 litre box of unopened wine.
- The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or evict anyone for drunkenness, unruly behaviour, or violation of any rules.
- The site will be photographed/filmed by the official media team and external crews; by entering you consent to possible use of your image in future promotions. If you prefer not to be filmed, you should speak to a member of staff on arrival.
- The organisers hold no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property; you are strongly advised not to leave valuables unattended.
- The campsite is on farmland — paths and ground may be uneven, especially in wet or muddy conditions. Visitors should take care; the organisers accept no liability for injury or accidents.
Camping Types, Permits & Vehicle / Pitch Rules
Tents vs. Caravans / Campervans / Live-In Vehicles
- On the “caravan / campervan / live-in vehicle” campsite area: ground-based tents are not allowed (fire risk / health & safety).
- If you bring a caravan, campervan, motorhome, roof-tent or trailer-tent: you must purchase the relevant permit (sometimes called “CCV / Caravan (Live-In Vehicle) Permit”) in addition to regular camping tickets.
- Each permit gives you a pitch of 9×8 m. If your vehicle doesn’t fit into that dimension, entry will be refused.
- Additional cars (beyond the main live-in vehicle) cannot be parked next to your pitch.
- All tow-vehicles or extra cars must be unhitched and parked in designated car-parking spaces — you cannot leave a tow-car hitched within the pitch.
Arrival, Departure & Camping Period
- The campsites open on Friday morning at 7am
- Last entry each day is 8:30pm
- If you wish to leave on Sunday night, you’re allowed — exit from the car parks is permitted until 11 pm (after the show ends at 10.30 pm).
- Alternatively, you can stay until Monday morning; the campsite closes by 12 pm Monday.
Important Safety, Access & Liability Notes
- The campsite is on farmland — the ground can be uneven, muddy or wet, especially at night or after rain. Attendees should take care when walking around. Organisers do not accept liability for injuries caused by ground conditions.
- For live-in vehicles: pitches are laid out to include a 3-metre fire break between each caravan/vehicle, and awnings must be contained within the pitch.
- Sleeping in tow/extra vehicles parked in the general car-parking areas is not allowed.
Summary — What You Must Do / Keep in Mind
- Buy the correct ticket + permit depending on whether you’re using a tent, caravan, campervan or live-in vehicle.
- Respect the prohibited items list — no open fires, glass, trailers (on-site), gas bottles beyond 2.2 kg, drones/lanterns/fireworks, etc.
- For caravans / campervans: ensure your vehicle + attachments fit within the allocated 9×8 m pitch; un-hitch tow-cars; don’t park extra cars next to pitch unless you buy extra parking permit.
- Behave responsibly — intoxication, dangerous behaviour or repeated breaches can get you evicted.
- Be mindful of safety risks: uneven ground, fire-break rules, farmland environment, and your own valuables.
- Be considerate of others. The campsites are there for the enjoyment of all.
- Dogs are permitted in campsites, however they must be kept under control at all times and owners MUST clear up after them. Dogs must not be left unattended in tents or cars at any time during the event. Stewards will patrol car parks and will report any animals left in vehicles. Anyone found leaving dogs in vehicles risks being asked to leave the event without refund. A Dog Creche is available for a fee within the festival site.
